The Living Frame

I’m a photographer living on the South Coast of Wellington New Zealand. with a passion for New Zealand birds, many of them with a conservation status of at risk.

I’m an occasional climber, traveller, writer. I’m editor of and sometimes contributor to Federated Mountain Club’s Backcountry. I also write for Wilderness Magazine and other publications.

I appreciate the people, light, colours and shape of our land.

I'm a professional photographer, providing photo tours/workshops in Italy. I also teach at a University in Rome. My work was exhibited internationally.

I have acquired my skills through practice driven by passion. My photography reflects my personal interpretation of life, how I view both the world we live in and the people who live in it.

I love travelling around the country in our motorhome taking photographs of our beautiful country. .I love colour and produce bold and bright photographs.

My photography is an eclectic mix of landscape, documentary and street scenes. I shoot what my eye finds interesting - it has encouraged me to look more carefully at my surroundings.
