RE:PUBLIC

CHRISTOPHER KEYES is the founder and executive director of RE:PUBLIC. Previously he was the Editor in Chief of Outside magazine and the editorial director of Texas Monthly. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he recreates daily on public land.

Stephanie Pearson is a National Geographic Explorer, a contributing editor to Outside, and author of three books, the latest of which is National Geographic's 100 Hikes of a Lifetime U.S.A.

ELIZABETH HIGHTOWER ALLEN is the founding Editorial Director of RE:PUBLIC. Previously, Elizabeth was the features editor at Outside Magazine for more than twenty years, and an editor of award-winning nonfiction books.

ALEX HEARD is a freelance writer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has worked as an editor at Outside, Wired, and The New York Times Magazine, and is the author of two books, including The Eyes of Willie McGee.

Dillon Osleger is a writer and public lands policy analyst whose work is grounded in a decade of hands-on trail restoration across the American West. His first book, Trail Work, published by Heyday Books, comes out May, 2026.
