Albany Scanner

Emilie Raguso (The Berkeley Scanner, Albany Patch, Berkeleyside) will oversee Albany Scanner as publisher with help from a community advisory group, the Albany News Project, which will support the site through fundraising and volunteerism.

Allyson Aleksey is Albany Scanner's first contract editor and lead reporter. Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Examiner, Nob Hill Gazette, Piedmont Post and Beverly Hills Weekly covering education and politics.

A Los Angeles native, Andrew Gilbert is a Berkeley-based freelance writer who has covered jazz, roots and international music and dance for numerous publications since 1990, including the San Francisco Chronicle, KQED and the Bay Area News Group.
